Ok.
Just based on how lads normally operate, there is probably little chance that the info in your chat will help track the lad down- all of his info will be made up.
If you are looking for feedback and a critique on how your chat went, you can post either in this forum or the SCAMBAITING HELP, HINTS & TIPS forum- if you post here, fewer people will see it, but you will get feedback from love scammer specialists- if you post in Help, Hints and Tips more members will probably read and comment on it, but the feedback will most likely be more general.
If there is language or material in your IM's that could get someone in trouble at work or home if someone else saw it, make sure that you put a NSFW in the subject line.
Lastly, be specific about the guidance you are looking for when you post it. |

As TSnerd's said, you won't track a scammer down from the IM messages. Most of what they say will be lies. Email headers though are a different matter. If you can get your scammer to send you an email then you can look at the headers in it and that'll help track down where they are. It won't give you the address of the computer they're at, but it will narrow the search down. Remember though that scammers quite often jump between internet cafes, so just because one set of headers say one thing, the next one may show up a different location. |
