I just found this site from daily paper and I am amazed I believed I was the only person to be that likes winding these ppl up. I started as my friend was scammed for about �300 off a Russian from a date site. I then went on as many date sites as i could find free, put a profile on. set up my outlook with bait box and landing net Razz

(hate fishing its too slow)
with a day or so I had my first nibble, I quickly started measuring how long i could keep them on. I had one for over a month pretending i was sending funds through WUB having discovered you needed a 10 digit number to send... changing numbers one at a time until they got fed up.
chat rooms pretty good to for laying bait. had one girl claiming she was in london and asked me to buy her dinner as her bank account was frozen. god the sex she promised was a klenex night and a half lol....
well Im glad others have the same hobby

i did at first but not having had a bite for several months went into retirement i usually use my hotmail account as i realiased it was less secure.. I have to admit at end I did attach a link to a virus not sure ifthis was part of the game but as far as I new i was a special one off Smile

I had no advise on these matters as I said never met anyone who was onto this Hobby

Here at Eater, we do things a bit differently:

1. we bait safely: we use addies that hide our IP or use proxies for the same reason.

2. we do not send viruses to the lads: they work in internet cafes and getting a virus also implicates the cafe owner. This is involving third parties.

While I'm at it, here are some more for future reference:

3. we do not send fake IDs to lads or anything else they could use on real victims.

4. we do not cash bait. I am sure you read Shiver's cash baits, but note that this was before the site decided cash baiting shouldn't be done or discussed here.

5. we do not hack lads. It's illegal and discussing it could land the site in trouble.

6. don't burn your lad (tell him he's been baited). This will educate him and we don't want smarter lads for the victims.

I also thought I was one of the only people who baited and actually thought I was extremely good at it: But looking on this site I now realise, I'm actually quite inexperienced: I've been using my HOTMAIL account, using a alias: How do I use an addie to hide my IP or use a proxie?

When it comes to romance scammers we have to bend the safe baiting rule a little. I use a Yahoo account to talk to the lads, but a gmail one to talk to vlads. When I talk to lads on YIM I tell them my location is the UK (where I really live) but the opposite end of it.
