Of course, it would be too much trouble for to send the computer to her and it would be easier for you to send money and let her buy it locally.

The big electronics stores in Mari El should be running 'end of summer' sales now.
She could probably pick up a deal on a pre-packaged 'vlad' special!

Mid line computer and monitor, and bundled software including the BAT! , and 3 months of satellite isp service at a bargain price.
Just ask for the 'decent and sociable' special.
