I tried to Google 'boat hire Walvis Bay', but just got day/fishing trips. A seagoing mugu in persuit of a floating trunkbox would be uncharted waters.....

Seriously, the prevailing currents would carry the trunk box northward - - possibly towards an eventual Nigerian landfall in a couple of weeks.

Yes. The box of money is going to keep moving North. Even after I no longer hear from the lads. I suspect that they will just give up with me and try to recover it for themselves. And yes, it will keep heading North all the way to Nigeria.

Problem with that is average ordinary Nigerians will be running for the coast too. You want something that is described in the advertising world as "target marketing."

How about a mass ASEM using a bullshit press clipping from a real South African newspaper? The story can say that "Troy was arrested, his GPRS equipment was analyzed and that the tracking equipment indicates that the money is headed North. I'm seeing this as the horizontal velocity:

and this as the vertical velocity:

Are you seeing it now? I hope that I am not running into the calssic problem where JavaScript works one way on one browser and then another way on another browser. If that is the case, I am going to have to hard code the number.

Seems you fixed it

Horizontal 3.377
Vertical 0.862

BUT Sometimes though I get some very longa di number like:
Vertical velocity 0.30200000000000005

Not that it matters, but might look a little suspicious sometimes. The real trackers don't seem to have that happening.

FYI I'm using :
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4

IE6 also shows same symptom (long numbers)
Version 6.0.2900.2180 bla bla....

Looks fine on Mac Safari (wonderfully appropriate name!). Just one thing: [dumb question] the velocities are different depending on which zoom level you look at. Should they be like this?[/dumb question]

Edit: I also get the very long number thing, though.

I have randomized them to be just a hair over 3 mph for horizontal and just under 1 MPH vertical. I think that everything should be working OK now. CAN ANYONE STILL SEE ANYTHING OTHER THAN NUMBERS IN THOSE FIELDS?

As a side note, I have not heard from any of the lads yet.

Nope, perfect now on Safari. Long numbers also no longer appearing.
