When I look at my own email sent using gmail, I can only see google's server IP. Confused

That's why I thought that gmail hides all IPs except google's IP.

You are correct though. I just looked at marina's email to me. I see the Russian IP along with google's IP.

a ccouple of questions..

Do some of these scammers know each other and work together? I know some use PLANETSKY German/Iran Satellite. it would seem that if you are wrting to more than one scammer they might know each other and ifyour using the same name to write to them blow your bait. It would seem that if a person in Russia were successful at doing these scams that they would show there friends how to do it. ARe most of these scammers women are are they men. I assume that the one I wrote to in Nigeria is a man. I know you probably can't be sure about any of this, but I was just wondering.

Most of the scammers are operating multiple 'personas'.
(This is in reference to the russian romance scammers, but is also true in a different form for the Nigerians.)

You are writing 'Marina Perminova'??
She is part of a 'group' that also gives us Oksana Belousova, Gulnur A.,
Tanya Sosnina.
I don't know whether one person is doing this, or a few, or more.
They may all be 'housed' in one computer, or more.
I suspect that since this person/group has been using satellite, they are making money, and there may be more personas to detect.
I suspect the person identified as 'Oksana' is somewhat involved in the scams, whether it's just posing for pictures on a regular basis, or more.
(Too many pictures....and they keep coming!)
Maybe the other girls in this group will turn out the same?
Dunno, 60 or more different pictures of the same girl is unusual.

I'm back with marina.
I asked her for her phone number so I can talk to her, but she tells me she doesn't have a phone. She has a digital camera, but no phone? Laughing

Need some help. I got her a little off script, asking for her address, promising a visit to St. Petersburg. She gave me a fractured address (skipping the name of the street, including the number and apartment number).

Not sure how to proceed (haven't read many date baits). Should I go directly to an airport visit? Or are there better time wasting preliminaries? Marina is letting me take the initiative here. There's nothing stopping her from going back to the script of course.

The Vlad's english still isn't too hot. My responses remain surreal.

You can try anything. Its all a fantasy world.
You can set up a meeting but nobody will show up.
She may go through the motions of planning for the encounter, but something will pop up. She may get sick, arrested, run over by a goat cart, abducted by aliens...
Whatever happens you will be asked to send money to her.
The only trip they're planning is to the bank.
Get creative if she's actually off script. Offer to ship her a prepaid phone. Of course, she will ask you to send money so she can buy one herself. Smile

It took 6 e-mails for her to start hinting about needing money to come visit. I told her that I had a friend who would like to start writing one of her friends. I though she might have known I was baiting her, but she gave me the name of Gulnur for my friend to write. She even included photos of Gulnur. SHe wrote about bringing her along on her visit. for the time being I am just ignoring her request for money. I have a few thoughts of how to play this out, but does anyone have any ideas.

There's really not a LOT you can do. Of course, if you can really get them off script, things may be possible, not probable.

Russians do mass baits, for modest amounts of money. You don't get a lot of 'personal attention' like you do with the Nigerians.
The russians romancers don't have a lot of time invested in you, so it's not a problem for them to walk away. They've got 50 other guys on the hook at the same time, using the same letters.

Try something 'obscene'. Suggest you want a twosome? Tell her you're equally in love with Gulnur, but want to 'test drive' each one before you decide. Heck, they may go for this, assuming they're going to cash in of two visa and airline tickets!

I don't think this group will play along, they may just drop you.
They could surprise us.
Typically, the ladies of this group keep the letters 'pg'rated, sometimes a hair steamier. I haven't heard of actual nude photos from them, yet.

This Gulnur sure moves fast. In her first letter she already wants 2600 USD. so that Marina and she can come visit me and my friend. Her letters are harder to figure out than Marina's

Very common, I have one who has been dancing around the same proposition. Now that we are at the money phase she says she'll call me but won't entertain the idea of me calling her.

So I have Marina and Gulnur wanting to come for a visit. They say they need $2600. If I read the letter right it sounds like they want to stay for 60 days.

Has anyone ever tried telling the scammer that they can use their frequent flyer miles or use their company travel department to bring them over here?

I've had her going on at least ONE email account since early December.
It serves no real purpose, but I have been able to assemble the

Possibly second in size only to the collection owned by the scammers, themselves!

I treid getting a photo of Marina and Gulnur together. I thought that since they are friends they would have one. They have plenty of themselves. I was told that none exist. Crying or Very sad

I also wrote to them telling them that my frequent flier miles will pay for the trip. waiting to hear what they respond with.

I culled the photo off the Internet and made the profile sound like a successful middle aged man looking for a younger woman who wants to "live the good life". We'll see what I can dredge up. I don't want to waste time playing games with some desperate waitress in Oklahoma so I guess I'll just respond to those that sound Russian or European.
