I played Brainsodaop, a businessman. Also happens to be my catcher account, so I figure if he sells it, so much the better for me.

DocJerry was spamming a chat room, offering loans for business expansion to anyone interested. I decided to bite.

This guy either doesn't realize I've changed the amount from 150k to 175k and back (to calculate interest), or doesn't care. I'd give even odds for both.

I sent the file (provided by a helpful Marvinator) via the in-YIM send file feature, which I know to rarely work.

I sent it again, and it crashed a few programs. I just disappeared from YIM...which means the bait is still open!

So, any ideas for round 2?

I like the multiple personality angle.

If you talk to him again, maybe you could refer to other conversations you've had with him, when he was yet other people. Tell him you really enjoyed talking to "Betty".

Maybe you can make him think someone hacked his YIM account. Heck, you could even provide transcripts.
