I’ve moved your post from Published as is not the sort of Scam that we deal with at Eater. This is an example of a blackmail scam where (usually) the scammer does not have any information other than an Email address meaning they are hoping for a quick pay day by extorting from a potential victim. In some cases, however,accounts could have been compromised so it is best to either simply close the account or at the very least change passwords accordingly.
