Oh wow it's been years since I rejoined a scambaiting forum. I'm quite sure I joined previously or was it another forum.
But I definitely twigged looking up some of your greatest hits.
Was this part of the Four O Nine Eater?
I remember many great baits getting lads to join the Four O Nine Church and pay homage!
Whatever it is, I had many a great laugh these few days reading up the great baits.
I'm from Singapore btw, a very modern city state in Asia.
Which has very strict laws against fraud and computer crimes.
African scams are not so prevalent anymore but it does happen. Usually it's some stupid fellow here accepting cash from scammers and then resending it.
A very hefty jail term awaits these people, because the monies are inevitably stolen from accounts in the West.
The more common scams here are love scams and usually from Chinese scammers. We have a large Chinese majority here.
But there's been the occasional lad from Africa. They target lonely gals especially those who are let's just say not pretty or a heavy build.
Another pattern is to use the religious card. We have native Malays who are Muslim and these Muslim Nigerian scammers use the ploy of helping out a fellow Muslim. Muslims generally will help a fellow Muslim.
We've also had some foolish gals here actually transport drugs across borders unwittingly. The lads ask them to receive some luggage and help them fly it over to other parts of Asia. Singapore has very strict drug laws including the death penalty. Fortunately the few incidents here did not entail capital punishment just lengthy jail terms.
It has happened more frequently across the border in Malaysia.
Anyway so much for a lengthy intro. It's great to see the wonderful work you do. Hopefully I can immerse myself too in the global fight ag
ainst scammers.
Cheers

Welcome! I don't know about the Four O Nine Church, but there have been many church baits so maybe someone else remembers.
Here is a lad who traveled to Singapore because of a bait. You might recognize the hotel in the background. He was not happy about the high expense or police presence in your country (but we, of course, loved both). Singapore had enough of him and deported him after holding him in jail for a several days.

Garden wing... That should be the Shangrila. 1 of the most expensive hotels here. Very high class. I hope he paid a premium!!
There used to be a coffee shop behind Mustafa Centre where these Africans used to gather. But I guess the stall that sold Nigerian food has since closed.
Now being Asian myself, I'm not 1 for racism but unfortunately the majority of Africans there were scammers. I'm glad they've moved elsewhere. My friends tell me they prefer to operate in Malaysia now. Singapore is very strict. |

I've personally witnessed local girls crying after these lowlifes made them blow all their savings and gotten dumped by these rascals.
I drive a cab here. If any of you plan to visit here, I'll be glad to ferry you around.Do pm me and I'll give my contacts. Don't worry although some tourists are routinely given the runaround, most cabbies here are honest. And Singapore is very organised. Overcharging can see a cabby fined and suspended. |

Hi Romanis, welcome to Eater.
You may want to keep your tinfoil cap on like Moderator Pastor Frank and not pass out your personal information to just anyone. On the other hand, you may find that some trusted baiters are very close to you. They will let you know.
For those that do not know, Singapore is one of the most beautiful, clean and efficient city/states in the world. Its more than a place that bans chewing gum and canes people for vandalizing property.
Most people in other parts of the world take driving as a way of life. Not in Singapore. First you need a car. Importation fees are 41 percent and then there is an Additional Registration Fee (ARF) of 150 per cent of the car's Open Market Value. Then comes registration of $5,000 for company car or $1,000 for a private car. There is a road tax and then an additional electronic toll for use of the roads.
But wait, there's more. In order to drive you have to have a certificate of entitlement (COE). You can bid for one twice a month from an ATM and as soon as you do, half of your bid is withdrawn from your account. If you win, its all taken out. I have been told that winning bids are over a hundred grand in US dollars.
So the official estimate to drive a BMW 328 (A) (2.8cc) that you already own is $238,000 USD, before you even pass one of those pesky electronic use detectors. |

Connie
As only the hugely rich can afford to drive in Singapore, are there relatively few private vehicles on the roads? How are the funds raised to build and maintain the roads?
Just asking. |
