I am having a blast with a facebook sweat heart scam and will post the results however they want my phone number for "quicker responses". My question is can they use my phone number to scam me?

Never give out your personal information , nothing about you should be real , if you did give out any genuine personal information than drop them immediately and get yourself a mentor

He'll call you and pressure you to "quickly-quickly" make payments.
If you communicate by email, you can pretend you did not see the message from him... you can pretend that you NOT understand what he says.
You can postpone the payment as long as it's convenient to you. Laughing

What phone number are you planning on giving him? And what Facebook profile are you using to bait him (a fake one totally unconnected to your RL identity or you real one)?

Are you using a fake FB account? And I mean one that does not even have real life friends. Because they can either find you by your friends or they can harass your friends.

Assuming you are baiting safely (using a totally FAKE facebook profile), you can setup a phone number through Google Voice (do not link it to a real phone number - just use it for voicemail). That way, you can enjoy entertaining voice mail messages from him, but never reply. You are hard of hearing, so you don't like talking on the phone. BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE BAITING SAFELY!!! If you are NOT baiting safely on facebook, DROP HIM IMMEDIATELY!!! Report his fake FB profile and block him so he can never contact you again.

Please do not do this. Fake profiles may be added at ScamWarners. Reporting them simply defeats all the work done at sites that post the information.

^Gotcha! I wasn't thinking about FB profiles being like email addresses, but that makes sense. I get friend requests for 10 of these asshats every day. I will stop reporting them.

I only 2 in the entirety of last year and 1 was from my wife's mother ... That's actually true.

You don't specify which number of yours that you were considering giving the scammer, but "can they use my phone number to scam me?" would not be your only worry.
