It is with great regret, that I inform the Eater audience of the passing of Mr Ross Higgins (aka the real Ted Bullpit).

Ted, in the sitcom "Kingswood Country" was a pro-Australian, a racist, a sexist, and a bigot.

The characterisation of a stereotypical, bigotted, white, heterosexual, "Aussie bloke" was often held up in ridicule by the programme by Ted, and openly demonstrated by his character.

There are those that would watch the show nowadays, and bitch about the open sexism, racism and intolerance demonstrated by Ted... however, watching each show through to its conclusion will demonstrate how Ted is proven wrong in his bigotry, time after time... Laughing
