(From today's NYT magazine.)

Fort Lauderdale. An empty beach. (Wait, what? When has that ever happened in daylight?) A lovely blonde woman jumping for joy to the point that her hair is flying, her right boob is bouncing (huh? What an odd shadow...), even the tie for her top is up in the air, in an utterly perfect upside down J.

Her foot is 3" into the welcoming sand as she races toward us. Wow.

But -- there are no footsteps behind her. How did she suddenly get here? Maybe she fell out of a plane and that's why she sunk so deeply on her right foot.

Seriously, don't the Photoshop 'artists' or copy editors or design editors or senior advertising executives even pay attention? Or do they just get so blinded by the sexy model that they can't realize how ridiculous it is?

PF is correct. The shark spat her out onto the beach. She landed on one foot. So that makes her happy. That is all that is important here.

(ps: the shark took off both my legs. that's why i'm gumpy, like PF.)

Ah, Juan, this is why I love you. You notice things like this. It's not just the photos that have problems. There are punctuation or grammar mistakes in about 75% of the news stories from one of my local news stations. I've also seen them on CNN and other national news sites.
