I have been working a lad for several weeks from the M@ris Vicky Lo@n Company in Nigeria. A classic straight bait 419. Of course they requested the processing fee be sent by Western Union but surprisingly the transfer failed due to a problem with the SPTS password system. It is so hard to answer all the questions correctly!

Pleading phone calls to use Moneygram were made but my character insisted on a bank-to-bank transfer or he would look elsewhere for a loan. Insistence pays off because full banking details appeared in my mailbox a few minutes ago.

Well done on your first pig. You say "pleading phone calls"? Do you have a bait phone? Did you speak with your lad in person? That sounds like fun! Interested how you did it.

Yes I have two bait phones. One is Skype and I use Ifree Skype recorder to record the calls.

The other is a free VOIP softphone called 3CX. 3CX is nice because it has a built in call recorder. It allows you to connect to multiple VOIP numbers at the same time. I have one number in London UK (free sipgate #) and the other is in Seattle with IPkall which is also free. I like sipgate because voicemail is also included with email alerts. If I don't want to talk to the lad but he wants a number I use my free K7 net numbers for fax and voicemail.

Yes I spoke to the lad on the phone. He was very upset because he was having trouble with answering all the questions on SPTS (a great tool). I told him that Western Union gave only 7 days on password secured transfers and then the money would be returned to me. He was really determined to get me to use Moneygram after his horrible experience with Western Union. But I said I would look elsewhere if I couldn't do a bank-to-bank transfer.

I now have four piggies. I want to thank everyone for their encouragement and the moderators for entering the information in the reporting database.

My lad has steered me away from using the bank account I reported so he must be having problems.

If there any newbies reading this try getting your lad to provide a bank account as an alternative to WU or Moneygram. After a few "problems" with WU they may cough it up. This is one way to really hurt the lads.

I have found that once they realise they aren't going to get anything if they don't give you the details they finally, reluctantly cough them up.

It' s either the Bank Account or losing you. I've lost just a couple.. they are greedy and so they smell money coming their way if they give you Bank Details...

One person actually gave me two lots after twoing and froing and at present I have a 4* General who has been in a Bank trying to get the $4000 I 'paid' into his Bank Account today. Sadly the Bank have told him it'll be 4 working days before he gets it... so he isn't happy but he'll be going back next week for his money !! I'd love to be a fly on the wall when it isn't there ! Those bank workers must have fun !
