Less scripts and more idiots?

I'm curious if anyone has seen the same trend. I typically wind down the baits I'm playing and then send replies to a few dozen lad spams (it always amazes me that I get so many in an account I use exclusively for baiting...funny) and the last month or so I've gotten almost zero follow-up scripts. They go straight to "send the money" and "yes this is meant for you, call me". Of course, not having to get them off the script means a lot more hours of confusion, but what happened to the old ways?

I've also seen a precipitous drop in IQ, which makes it all too darn easy.

Not really, I get a wide variety and it seems to be pretty much across the board.

Of course, all the trends I've run into seem to go in waves. I suspect the lads are just stealing each others stuff. Lazy...

I've sent some replys only to not get any in return from half of them. Most of those drop me when their second E-mail says send the money and I tell them I don't do WU. I've also had one of my E-mail addies sent to the Spammers who guarantee that my business will be at the top of the Google search page.

I've started to push the WU issue off until I've got them fully engaged, which seems to help. All sorts of confusion first seems to hook them, especially the really stupid ones. I won the lottery? I have money in Benin...where is that? An inheritance...who died? I ignore the fee until I've exhausted all the other dodges.

If they think I'm as stupid as they are (or really old and not too sharp), I seem to have the best luck.

I seem to have been lucky in this respect then. My first ever bait is going nicely, no WU mention, just 2 bank accounts (reported to mods). Now I have just tried to further develop this with an email from my fake bank manager who wants in on the scam. I do hope it works and doesn't put a stop to matters - I'll be even more disappointed than my lad!

A lot of the time the Lad will forward the E-mail from your evil Banker or Lawyer to you telling you what a thief they are.

Either way fun is to be had. I have several options for the evil banker to find out and slap the lad into next week. Then I can propose the deal again or tell the lad that I'm going to take all the money. In the mean time my original gullible character will be trying his best to pay the fee.

I've had good luck stringing the evil along by saying that the reason the lawyer knows the game is that the victim gave them access to their email account to help them in some way. Then you can "prevent" the lad from warning the victim and be in total control of the situation.
