Hi, and welcome here. The fake ID, it's better not to give that to scammers. How stupid or obviously fake it may look, they can re-use it to send it to victims and get better at what they do and scam more victims. It's better to send a corrupted or blurred file and blame it on your scanner, or even better yet, blame it on the lad, because it's always his fault, he could at least get a decent computer.

I'm new there.
Basically hate spam, whatever fried, with beans, sausages, lobsters, elderberries, anything.
Hate scam too: same brown unpleasant matter, just more expensive.
English not native language... sorry for mistakes.

Happy to meet people here and thanking them for their job.
Came here cause a friend got scammed badly and since I cannot nuke the scammer, I may help at least to provide some fun for people.
May not have the level for now to make scammer eat their own... food, but I hope I'll learn.

You can find lads to bait in several languages, including French, Spanish, and German. There are also lads who write scams in French and machine-translate them to English; a few times I've helped baiters understand them.

Hi everyone,

I joined a few days ago, but I've been struggling to find time to post. For the last week or so I've been stringing along a 419 scammer under an alias (Dermot Titus), and I've now reached the point where he/she wants me to contact an agent from another bank to arrange the setup of the bank account into which Dermot should deposit several thousand Euros.

I'm wondering if there's anywhere I can submit the email addresses the scammer has given me so far, so that they can be tracked or flooded.

We don't "flood" email addresses as that is counter productive. The scammer will just abandon it and move all his victims to another account, which will be unknown to victim support sites like our sister site scamwarners.com.

The best thing you can do is register at Scamwarners and post a few of the scammer's earlier emails, along with the email addresses, for other victims to find.

I've checked my inbox and I now have some bank details (swift code, IBAN, account no. etc) in use by the scammers. I'll submit these on scamwarners too so they can be passed on to the proper authorities and the account can be identified.

Though I suppose the bank account in question may belong to a previous victim, it could help to track some of these scumbags down.

I just registered in order to be able to report a bank account I got from a scammer due to some casual scambaiting I've been doing, but I might lurk a bit to see if I can't get some inspiration for future baits.
Also, this was not the screen name I wanted, but having gone through over a dozen, this was the first one that worked Razz

Once I'm done with my current bait, I'll make sure to share a very angry scammer I have on the hook, but I don't want him to see that I'm doing this yet, in case he has an account here.

welcome! Go to the Surplus forum, just pick a message and respond to it with your newly created email. Make sure not to have anything trace back to your personal details.

Hello, I've got some romance scam email going with a lad or several, is there a good place to post a thread, or just the email addresses in question for the pros?

It's from an adult dating site, in both cases it wasn't long before there was a reveal that they were either travelling to Nigeria for business purposes or were already there.

If you want to share the information to warn others you can post the information and initial messages on www.scamwarners.com

If you are messing with them (assuming you don't use your own email or personal information) you can post a thread in main for our amusement.
If you are using personal email or information, stop what you're doing, create fake information and start over.

In both cases I offered my sympathy for the unfortunate situations they claimed to be in, one, a sad but successful well travelled widow and the other claiming to be hurt by men. I'll just post the more ridiculous of the two I think.
