My character has been replying that he's willing to help as long as the lad's loyal to Bashar al-Assad. Let's see where the lads stand on this issue. 
(I personally am staying out of the issue, but my character is quite opinionated on international politics) |

I think I'll try the reverse with my Syrian Lad - I'll only trust him if he's against Bashar. |

My lad just wrote that his brother is considering defecting to the opposition. I replied that it's a shame, not just because I won't be able to purchase my $75 million in gold (which is going straight to Bashar's army, natch) from him, but also that by defecting his brother might end up dead. I urged him to have his brother reconsider and that if it would help one of my contacts in Syria can meet with him in person to discuss both the deal...and the merits of loyality.
This might be the first time I sent a veiled death threat in my third note. 
If we develop these guys, this almost screams for a double bait with our pro and anti Bashar pals. |
