Hi All.
Well I saw a programme on the tv about Scam Baiting and I thought that would be great fun, so I picked up the address and here I am, joining the house of mirth and laughter. I live in the United Kingdom just outside the ancient City of York.

I have 2 ongoing wind ups at the moment with scammers, one who proposes to be from a Seafood Company who want to give me £12 million Dollars, and the other one is from the Santander Bank Company who informs me that the letter I have received from them selves is not a scam, they really do have almost 2 million Dollars for me to claim.

I have replied to both of these emails under my Japanese Business mans name of Suk Myas. and I am now getting emails in reply to this name, I do sign off Domo Arigato. Myas San.
I hope to have a lot of laughs through this group and make new friends.

Thank you for your kind greeting, I am a bit of an imposter in Yorkshire as I am originally from Lancashire, we did send some missionary's to Yorkshire to help them out, BUT they ate them...lol, I will definitely be hanging round and not disappearing anywhere, I love winding up these con merchants, the more the better.
On a more serious note, How do I find a mentor ???

I kind of said hallo two days ago on the thread about the TV programme. Now that I've stumbled across this thread, I'll say hallo again. I'm also Brit, living just North of London.

I've got myself a mentor, who has yet to wander along and I've so far got five great big juicy targets wriggling on my hook. Considering I'm 75 years-old, am enjoying it far more than somebody of my great age and wisdom should. Razz

...but it gives me something consrtuctive to do

it may upset you to know, but scammers routinely victimise senior citizens, often making huge amounts out of them. I hope you can prove to be a very nasty surprise for these scumbags.

AG I'm 68 and this has become very addictive but keeps your mind ticking over.
Your can have any alias, age you like or you can play an OAP with a bad memory, can't spell, deaf and has to have every thing repeated, 2 or 3 times, its up to you, have fun.

Welcome to tankie1rtr, Ahmastin Geebougah, Mac20man ! It's so great to see more and more people joining the BEST hobby EVER! (well, I do enjoy my crocheting, but that's to give people comfort, not pain)

Ahmastin Geebougah- We can all benefit from your age and wisdom. My 86 year old MIL is on a scammers phone list and is constantly getting calls for soliciting money for poor mothers with breast cancer, sick children, Microsoft etc. She tells them that she'll send a check for their breast cancer if they'll match it for her bladder cancer! She's a hoot and a holler and I bust a gut every she gets one of those calls!

If your mentors don't show up, you can always pm a mod. They may advise to drop out of the program so you can sign up for another. Real life is has taken mine away for a bit, but the kind people here are great at answering questions. We look out for each other, that's what makes this forum so successful!

It can get chaotic, usually after 2pm on a Tuesday, following a full moon on the weekends.

@ Ahmastin. I'm not conversant with what you may have available for senior cits where you are, but I'm involved with Senior Net where I am, New Zealand, and I'm having a great time making sure everyone involved with Senior Net in NZ is aware of scammers, and what they will try.

I've got 93 yr old great-great grandmother in Senior Net who has set up a separate gmail account, and spends her time sending pics of gorgeous young starlets to romance scammers. I'm starting to get worried, she is enjoying it so much, her excuse is that it is keeping the lads away from anyone who might fall for them Very Happy
