questions about love scam & rental scam

Hi there, I'm working on a project that aims at automating the process of identifying scammers from normal users and inferring information about them. And I'm trying to explore love scams and rental scams manually first, but rarely achieve to find one. So I want to seek some help here.

I'm wondering which websites are interesting to explore these kinds of scams? for now I only work on cragslist. For rental scam, I've done some seach and find websites like gumtree and starflats, but I'm USA based and that might be difficult to get started.

For love scam, I've tried to put some dating advertisements, something like "looking for longterm relationship", but most of the responses are either mails from normal users or just some junk porn mails. So I also want to ask what would you think is the most efficient way to attract scammers?

I'll appreciate it if you can give me some hints to help me solve these problems.

I think that you may have a better luck at scamwarners if you haven't already.

Their forum seems to have a large supply of scams and they are conveniently sorted by type.

Fishmeetfish is a dating site that doesn't seem to have any real people on it so it is perfect for what you are looking for. Set up a profile with a older/average person with some bizarre hobbies and you will have all the 'love' you are looking for in short order.

Welcome to the board! One thing worth a mention is that no form of automation will be foolproof. That kind of thing must be done by eye in order to assure that no innocents get targeted.

FMF is a great site but there are baiters there as well and possibly a few real people so it will take some practice to sort one from the other.

In addition, I know scamwarner.com and have read some related threads there. However, I can't find a usa based website to explore rental scams. I've tried to response to some of the rental advertisements on craigslist from various regions, but all responses seem normal(except few of which lead you to a website to get some credit scores). Do you have any suggestions?
