I was just thinking the other day about formats you don't really see anymore.
The Abacha family formats seem to be a thing of the past. Once upon a time your inbox got swamped with members of the Abacha family asking for your help in getting the former dictators loot to a safe location. Although other more well known dictators (to westerners at least) like Muammar Gaddafi & Saddam Hussein keep the dead dictators loot genre alive General Sani Abacha doesn't seem to get a look in these days.
The recent changes in how you can look up WU payments online put an end to lads been able to send you the first & last name of the sender along with the MTCN in an attempt to convince you that they had started sending you installments of your overdue fund by WU.
Can anyone else remember any one time popular formats that have been forever consigned to the dustbin of history? |

It might not be a dead-and-forgotten format (that is, other people might still be getting it) but for a long time I have not seen in my catcher account any "suffering from cancer disease that has defiled all treatment" widows with huge fortunes to invest after their death. (That was my first proper 419 bait, way back when I first started, coincidentally.)
Why am I being shielded from them, I wonder? |
