Hey everybody. I reckon I need to stop lurking for this post.l Well for a while now I keep getting asked to do a book out of my baits in the letters archive and after been told to do it on lulu by loads as you can just buy it for yourself I decided to finally do it. Not going to lie it was a bit of a pain. I even asked Shiver a couple of times a while back on what to do but that's another story.
Apparently this lulu is a print on demand thing so a copy only gets done if someone orders one so that's grand. The first time I uploaded the docx file and went through the process of creating the book the fina minimuml price they wanted was $82. Couldn't believe it and pretty much scrapped the whole idea. Then I revised the settings in the doc file, took out any unwanted space and extra pictures and that reduced the price to $45.
Bloody head was wrecked because that's still just ridiculous. Then I figured out that I had full colour chosen and for some reason that sky rockets the price. Went through the process again on black n white and the book is now a respectable $10. I can live with that and trust me I cannot format it any tighter or better to reduce the price anymore as it took me 2 days to get it to that. It's by no means a professionally produced thing but I think it turned out grand and I'll be getting a load of copies for meself to have around and give out for pressies and that.
So if you've asked me when the book is coming out before well here it is. It's out. If anyone wants to have a look go for it and if not that's fine. I never expected to do this but now that I did I figured I'd put a thread about it on my favourite site and of course the place I learned how to bait the lads.
P.S if anybody has any advice about the book or lulu please let me know. Thanks

Howya, no congratulations needed. All I did was upload a word file. I literally know nothing about lulu and how it works except that they run a great service. I'm finishin' college next month so I wanted to give me teachers something special for puttin' up with me and I'm trying imagine their faces when I tell them in my spare time I get 419 scammers to pour wine over their heads

I'm currently in Pretoria for a few days, headin' up to Durban then to see a man about a dog and then I'm opening a new Tattoo shop in Lagos called Shyte Tattoos on Friday. so I'm probably unavailable for autographs for the forseeable future. Cheers for the sentiment. |
