There's nothing ghostly about ghost chili. they really need to change it's name to something a little more descriptive. Like flaming arsole or somethin like that. |

We grow habanero. They are hot. We have another pepper propagated by birds called "bird pepper" which I think are hotter than habanero. I could eat that egg, but the question remains, why would I want to? |

First time I heard of ghost peppers was in a Simpsons episode. Later it made an appearance on South Park. Eventually I got curious enough to find out if it really exists. It has been my goal since then to obtain and eat one.
I should note that I grew up in South Texas - a region that is primarily Hispanic - a culture that tends to enjoy spicy foods. I've been known to bite into a raw Habanero pepper on a dare, which was only mildly unpleasant. I enjoy raw jalapenos as a snack. Note that I'm not stereotyping all Hispanics here, just noting that the culture overall is known for that, and I (a non Hispanic white girl ) fit the stereotype  |
