I've been keeping a close eye on this conflict for a while now. The sad thing is that a large number of the people being displaced by it are educators. With a broken education system, the country has become economically void. Poverty in Mali has become so extreme that parents are selling their own children to these terrorist groups. The kids are then used as child soldiers, drug mules, prostitutes, etc. Many families are fleeing to Niger, a country with its own share of economic and political woes. Hopefully, this conflict will end soon.

And, hopefully, we'll be able to strand some lads there in the meantime.
