I just got an SMS from Nigeria (is it ok to post the telephone number?). Apparently Attorney Ahmed Azin has been trying to reach me concerning my family's inheritance. He would like me to contact him by email (is it ok to post the return email address?) to discuss my claim. Has anyone else gotten this kind of scam and what's the best way to start baiting? I've never baited before and I'd love to try it. |

Hi Papuasblya, welcome to Eater.
If you use your phone for anything else but baiting and have obtained it anonymous (very difficult) you can bait him.
If not, drop him and get another lad.

What if I just write him on the address he sent in the sms, but give him a false return phone? In other words, he sent an unsolicited sms to me on my everyday cell phone. I'm sure he's sent thousands of identical messages. If I write him and pretend he sent to some other cell phone, then he will have no way to trace back to me, right? |

Just make sure that you are using an email addy that is not connected to your Real Life...  |

Okay, he fell for the initial letter. I've told him I was kidnapped as a child and raised by adoptive parents. He's asked for my real parents' names. I made some stuff up and let's see what he asks for next. Should I post here the correspondence as it develops? |
