I've received a seemengly scamming e-mail

Happy New Year, everyone! I wish you lot's of happy moments and fulfillment throuout the next year and many more years to come!

I've been followinng and greatly enjoying this website for a while now. The work people here do is simply amazing!

I'm from Bulgaria. I work in IT. In my spare time I enjoy photographic trips through the Bulgarian Mountains. Anyway, enough about me. Let's get down to business Smile

A few days ago, on a Bulgarian nightlife photography website, I received a friendship request by a nigerian female. She insisted on me contacting her via e-mail and exchanging personal details - hobbies, favourite places, bla-bla.

I sent her a short e-mail, giving her "my name" - Bran - and have received an e-mail telling her life story of being the lone survivor of a family killed in Somalia.

The "Yeah...right!" reaction was the first thing to pop up in my mind. The second was to bring things here.

I have never before dealt with scambaiting.
Would anyone here be able to take the case and develop it?

Welcome, I an new here too. EVERYONE makes you feel like you belong here, even when you do things wrong haha
My first instinct is to tell you to run with the email. Please use a fake email address and name. If you have already replied using your real address then drop it, wait a few days, then start again using the fake address. I can guarantee the scammer won't notice/care about the new address. Play along for a while and if you don't like baiting just forget about it.
If you decide to continue, please please press the button that says "I want a mentor". It will make a huge difference to how much fun you can have baiting theses thieves.

So I guess your new girlfriend is living in a refugee camp, right, and is using the computer of the Reverend Father?
Her father was a very wealthy cocoa/sugar "Magnet" and now her wicked uncle is trying to get all the money? For some bizarre reason, in her country adult children aren't allowed to collect their inheritances unless they mass email anonymous strangers to "partner with" them.

I'm sure you'll be getting some photos soon of a very attractive young lady, who doesn't appear to be suffering much in her "hash" conditions.

Well, we haven't yet got to the refugee camp part, but she's already teasing me with letting me in on a great secret of hers.
And I have already received the photos of a woman of the age of 24-27. But she's slightly overweight. Maybe 5-7kg over the ideal body weight quotient. And I don't like big booties. She's got the wrong man here. Very Happy
