I'm not even sure if this is meant to be a scam, but some days ago I received an email in my beloved inbox, stating that a young man of the well-educated, chinese sort was in seemingly desperate search for an internship in germany.
I hadn't asked for such mails, neither did I post my address on the worldwide internetz, which had me raise the humble hairline above my right eye immediately... Smile

What furthermore caught the eye right below that brow was, that the sender used different accounts for send- and return-address and that there seemed to be at least two different return-addresses in operation... .
The address-details for a flat in munich are seemingly legit and the mobile number he (or she) gave seems okay, too. Sender-IP resolves to Neckarsulm, Bavaria, Germany. Sender's account is registered at vip.163.com, China.
The content of the email can be seen below (if need be, I can translate it for the non-german folks around here (translations to igbo can be done after payment of a small fee, preferably by western onion)).

So... what do you think about this?

yep, he seems serious. I thought more in the direction of industrial espionage... . I don't know. It could be just him thinking it would be a good idea to spread his application with a mass-mailing-shotgun-approach, but then again... . I'll have a chat with him.

That would be good! His approach is odd but what he's mailing looks decent enough. He could have something else behind it though.
