Hey everyone!

I had place ad on a dating site and this horrible exuse for a human replied. I'm embarassed to say that I got scammed... there I said it!

How are you doing this morning and hope you had a good night rest? I'm not really sure how to begin this,Let me tellyou a little about me so you can get to know me.Just feel i shouldwrite more about me and see if we can strike a connection.Whoknows?smiles. My name is Jerry Freddicks i"m 46yrs old Widowed with a lovely daughter.I live in Cincinnati,Ohio ,but presently I'm in West Africa as am here on a personal business trip for 2 weeks and i will be coming back after getting things done with my Dad's beneficiary.Its been so hot down here and its really adventurous so to say.I don't want see distance as a barrier,so i'm hoping to relocate someday for my princess.

I'm currently single and I guess you could say that I'm looking for something a little unusual. I lost my wife,mom and only sister in an auto crash some years ago...oh my...It was a bad experience and a bad memory to keep.I'm looking for someone that is actually interested in a long term meaningful relationship, someone that actually knows what they want. I've been through a few bad relationships and it's pretty much gotten to the point where I'm just not going to settle anymore for less than what I want. Life is way too short to be unhappy. I'm a very loving, a down to earth man and would love to find that insomeone. I'm the sweetest guy you'll ever meet but also outgoing atthe same time. I'm a hopeless romantic but I'm beginning to think that all the romantic ladies are either taken or no longer existing.

A few qualities that would describe me perfectly would be:
very romantic, caring, thoughtful, outgoing, someone who knows what he wants, someone who is ready and willing to give unconditional love to that someone special, fun to be with etc. There are many things about me that makes me unique in from what I want to know how I treat people. I guess you could say I'm looking for my SOUL MATE. I want to find that one special lady, someone that I want to spend as much quality time with as possible and when we are apart can"t wait to see them again.I also want to get that funny fuzzy warm feeling inside when I think about them.What's the greatest is knowing and looking forward to coming home to that person after a long hard day.You know it seems anymore today, people forget about the smaller but more important things in life. I mean for example a simple phone call for no reason to say I love you, a little note or card to say your special and I love you and I'm lucky to have you, things like that. I want all of those things in someone and I'm not going to settle until I find her.A few things that I enjoy doing would be travelling, going out todinner and a movie, shopping, going for long drives to no where,walking on the beach at night, anything outdoors ctivities,camping, swimming, 4 wheeling, building computers (which is the nature of my job) ,nice quiet romantic evenings at home.I"m an orphan.I know that I'm not right around the corner but trust me, you never know where that special someone could be and if you were to never take that chance you could end up passing up the opportunity of a lifetime and you may never know what could of been. It doesn't matter where that love may be just so you find it is the important part.

How are you doing today? Thanks for the answers to my questions. I
think its just fair i answer the same questions i asked you in my
previous mail.

1 ... what I like in a woman?
What i like in a woman is a woman who is caring, loving, kind, a woman
who will be willing to do anything for me as i will be willing to do
for her and most of all,a woman who is God fearing and a woman who i
can trust.Someone ready to love me and m daughter as we come in
package. She's the product of my marriage with my late wife,so she
means so much to me.a woman to be like a mum and everything to me.I
reciprocate of all of that,because i believe the success of every
relationship it give and take 100%

2 .. what do I want in an ideal woman?

Everybody craves intimacy, and need to love and be loved. I feel it is
important that each person is important in the relationship, has
friendship, character, personality, values, generosity of spirit, a
good relationship between words and actions, and a good relationship
with others.

3 .. What is my bad and good experience in meeting a woman on the Internet.
I dont have any experience here on the internet because i am new
here,i read a testimony of a couple that got on the site and are
happily married now,so i'm testing the water to see if fate can bring
me across the woman i desire and move on to live happily thereafter.

4 .. How do I treat my woman?

Well i will treat my woman with a lot of respect and care.I also
promise to be a loving, caring, and submissive husband to her.Physical
attraction and sexual pleasure is very good but doesn't mean love,
honesty about needs, mutual respect viewed as a team - 2 unique
individuals bringing different perspectives & strenghts. That is the
value of a team... each persons differences, managing differences by
learning how to handle negative feelings that are unavoidable as a
result of differences. Stonewalling or avoiding conflicts is not
managing them.

5...What do I do for a living?
Just like i said in my previous mail.I'm into IT/computer
programming,though i'm self employed and working only on contract.I
did that simply because of my daughter,so i can give her the time she
deserve with me.

6 .. tell me about myself?
I already said that in my previous mail.smiles.

7 .. What I do for fun and in my free time?
l enjoy dinning out and communicate on all levels social and
political issues. Understand the media, like to have a good time,
travel, fishing, own a large boat enjoy cruising the bay and sunsets.
Very social and successful in life and business. Respect family values
. Would like to meet a friend first and a life partner. I like
watching stormy weather and smell of rain and the feeling of the
energy after a storm, going to educational lectures,beaches,watching
movies shows,musical concerts and sometime go for dinner and taste a
little coffe. long walks,exploring around the city.somewhat ambitious,
imaginative,kind, sensitive, self-confident, generous to a fault,and
loyal.

Hello, and welcome.

Sorry to hear you got taken in by this vile specimen.

Scamwarners.com and romancescam.org would be very happy if you would post this information up there as well for maximum effect. Preferably also include email addresses, any pictures you were sent, etc. This really is our best hope of alerting future victims before they send money as the scammer's details become easily searched and often found in good time.

Thank you for volunteering this information, I realise it is painful but by publicly 'outing' the scammer's format you can stop him harming others.

This site's remit is really about baiting - that is to say, active interference with scammers. You should not consider doing this to the guy who scammed you as he has far too much personal information of yours for you to do this safely, but if you want to grab a spare one to torment you will be very welcome to join the fun.

Yeah, i am for real, because i don't think i have time for playing games around, because its very bad and sad when someone hurts another persons good feelings and i don't think i am here to do that and i wont like that to happen to me also. Well to my understanding, relationship can mean two things:
1) It can mean that we have a connection, which I think exists because we have gotten to know each other better.
2) Relationship also means to be romantically and sexually involved and I think we are not at that level. So, I think at this point, given the few amount of time we have e-mailed each other, we definitely have a friendship formed based on some external and internal similarities that are developing into a relationship that will bring us a little closer with good intentions, and the potential exists for the relationship to evolve into something more significant and i pray and hope that what i am thinking is right because i wont like to be taken for granted.
In fact, many times I felt I was taken advantage of and that hurts. I'd like to meet someone who recognizes the little things I do for her and knows how to be appreciative. For instance, if I were to make breakfast in bed or draw a bath for my woman, she could thank me by giving me a hug or a kiss.Or perhaps sending me a card for no particular occasion
just to tell me 'thank you.' I'm very appreciative of what people do for me and i reward them in my own little ways. To me, it's the little things that mean a great deal to me.
What does it really mean to be affectionate?. I love a woman who can display his affections for me anytime and anywhere without having to be shy and even if she is shy she should be able to show her love for me anywhere though.
And a person who knows how to be affectionate is a big plus. I love being affectionate. This may be an odd one, but I've learned that there are many woman out there that are set in their ways. They have one way of doing things and are never open to suggestions or advices. Stubborn woman are a major turn off for me and i hope and pray that you are not one of them. I like a woman who is open to ideas, thoughts, and basically open minded. I think being receptive brings about sensitivity as well. A woman who is ignorant, mean, and just plain insensitive is difficult to get along with and i don't need such a woman in my life. I would say that I'm not afraid to display my emotions. I'd like someone who is sensitive and
caring. If I'm sad, I'd like for her to be able to comfort me and cheer me up and most of all for her to be there for me. She doesn't has to do much, but just knowing that she's there for me is more than good enough.
Have you ever had someone not stand up for you? I was deeply hurt when someone I once knew wouldn't not stand up for me, even after she told me she loved me.I would never allow someone to hurt my girlfriend or my wife, and I would always stand up for her and would like her to stand for me too no matter what. One thing I will always do for my woman is to protect her and what i need from my woman is for her to protect me too.

How are you doing today? Its so good to read back from you, but
then i will understand if you dont write back early enough as you've

What i like in a woman is a woman who is caring, loving, kind, a woman
who will be willing to do anything for me as i will be willing to do
for her and most of all,a woman who is God fearing and a woman who i
can trust.Someone ready to love me and m daughter as we come in
package. She's the product of my marriage with my late wife,so she
means so much to me.a woman to be like a mum and everything to me.I
reciprocate of all of that,because i believe the success of every
relationship it give and take 100%

2 .. what do I want in an ideal woman?

Everybody craves intimacy, and need to love and be loved. I feel it is
important that each person is important in the relationship, has
friendship, character, personality, values, generosity of spirit, a
good relationship between words and actions, and a good relationship
with others.

3 .. What is my bad and good experience in meeting a woman on the Internet.
I dont have any experience here on the internet because i am new
here,i read a testimony of a couple that got on the site and are
happily married now,so i'm testing the water to see if fate can bring
me across the woman i desire and move on to live happily thereafter.

4 .. How do I treat my woman?

Well i will treat my woman with a lot of respect and care.I also
promise to be a loving, caring, and submissive husband to her.Physical
attraction and sexual pleasure is very good but doesn't mean love,
honesty about needs, mutual respect viewed as a team - 2 unique
individuals bringing different perspectives & strenghts. That is the
value of a team... each persons differences, managing differences by
learning how to handle negative feelings that are unavoidable as a
result of differences. Stonewalling or avoiding conflicts is not
managing them.

5...What do I do for a living?
Just like i said in my previous mail.I'm into IT/computer
programming,though i'm self employed and working only on contract.I
did that simply because of my daughter,so i can give her the time she
deserve with me.

6 .. tell me about myself?
I already said that in my previous mail.smiles.

7 .. What I do for fun and in my free time?
l enjoy dinning out and communicate on all levels social and
political issues. Understand the media, like to have a good time,
travel, fishing, own a large boat enjoy cruising the bay and sunsets.
Very social and successful in life and business. Respect family values
. Would like to meet a friend first and a life partner. I like
watching stormy weather and smell of rain and the feeling of the
energy after a storm, going to educational lectures,beaches,watching
movies shows,musical concerts and sometime go for dinner and taste a
little coffe. long walks,exploring around the city.somewhat ambitious,
imaginative,kind, sensitive, self-confident, generous to a fault,and
loyal.

I have been talking to Jerry since November. I kind of figured he is not real. He sent the same emails to me that are posted here. There are a lot of these "men" online in the dating sites, I have been online dating for about 6 months. I have only met one that is real and he is very nice. Jerry says we can meet this weekend,very funny, I have never sent money to any man online or in person, and I never will, just be careful and dont believe everything anybody says. I googled his name and it brought up this sight. Thanks for posting this.

No one on this site is going to judge you if you have been scammed, everyone here got into baiting because they find these scammers to be vile bastards, and a danger to society. Before I got into baiting, I thought all the scams were the standard 419 'nigerian prince and riches' type of scams, but I quickly learned they have branched out into all different areas of the internet. The best thing you can do is educate yourself on what makes someone suspicious, so you can see it when it comes out of the blue, from somewhere you didn't expect.
