Dr. Ugo Peters, who I've been corresponding with since May, had some rather distressing words for me.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out where it all went wrong.

Could it have been when he was chopped by Gomer?
Could it have been when he was chopped by the FBI?
Could it have been when he was chopped by a corrupt WU employee?
Could it have been when two of his websites went down?
Could it have been when multiple attempts at transferring money into his bank account failed?

After all this trouble, Dr. Peters wanted a laptop and cell phone for his troubles. I felt that was reasonable, and made arrangements to obtain these items. But when it came time to ship them, Dr. Peters suddenly became paranoid. He refused to send a security picture required by the shipping company I was going to use. Despite giving him several attempts to comply, I finally had to inform Dr. Peters that I had another client in Nigeria who had already submitted his security photo, and that the laptop and cell phone would be going to him instead.

Now, not only have I lost my risky free $5 Million, I also feel like I've lost a friend. Why does sending money to Africa seem to be so difficult? But despite the pain, I'm going to remain professional about this.

Nice Rant! It's always disappointing to get those when your doing your best to comply. You could always offer to fly over there and pay him personally.

Don't despair, sometimes even after some very final sounding insults from a lad they still stick around or try to scam you again under a different name. If you have had him on the hook since May he will be reluctant to let you go.

I think sometimes lads see 'time wasters' as a challenge and in my experience they will start to make bogus claims about family members being ill and so forth thinking they can guilt you into sending them money. Most of them don't get the concept of baiting at all.
