I'm touched and welling up inside, they had a meeting over little ol' me yesterday. As I'm posing as a victim of a scam for a compensation scam I played the 'I can't afford the full amount you are asking for because I have hardly any money left after being scammed' card.

However, as they have decided I'm a nice person they have kindly argeed to rob my character of what ever little money he has left and I should count myself lucky too apparently.

A classic tactic that lads use; saying they are using their own money to pay part of the amount. This is likely what causes real victims to get scammed; an emotional investment and a sense of obligation due to the lad 'bending the rules' as it were.

I had a lad "borrow money from a church member" to pay my $850 fee for me. Then he proceeded to hit me up for $4800.

They don't care if you're poor. Anyone can get hold of money if they want. Sell stuff you own. Remortgage. Sell things your parents or neighbours own. Lie and borrow, steal, embezzle, anything as long as the lad gets paid. That's the reality of what victims get made to do. Worth the new guys remembering this when they start an ethics thread about a lad whinging in a cowshed in a war zone Cool

I recently told a lad that I'm a poor widow and if I send him the money I'll have no food for a week. He told me to send what I have and borrow the rest.

On mugu compassion, people have been completely destroyed emotionally and financially by them. What happens when they find this out? Without missing a beat they have asked the person survivors for money.

This might not apply to EVERYONE who tried their hand at this BUT I can’t imagine anyone with a conscience or sense morality being in the game for too long.
