I dont know if anyone has done this but I always record the phone numbers of the bad telemarketing firms.. you know the ones that send you stuff that you don't order at your businesses and then send an invoice that's 20/30X normal cost (lightbulbs, toner, drain cleaner). well what I do is I like to send 419 scammers their contact information so they can have fun with each other.

Welcome to Eater. Please read the stickies on the ethics of scambaiting, especially about involving innocent third parties (ITPs). My take is that the sketchy telemarketing firms, slimy as they are, qualify as ITPs since they are not involved in advance fee fraud. Other 419 scammers, however, are fair game.
Many bottom-feeder telemarketing firms use spoofed phone numbers to make them difficult to track. Often the numbers belong to nobody or they belong to somebody who has no knowledge that their number is being used for illegal purposes. In those cases, you would involve an ITP who is truly innocent.

thank you for the response. however, I am certain the phone numbers I have are real because they are used at call backs on my voice mail etc. I have no sympathy for people who conduct this kind of business so it's debatable to consider them innocent as you considered. For example, recently one called claiming there was a breach in our electric service and then needed the maintenance guy's cell #. looked them up, total lie. Therefore, I find ways to get back at them.

Welcome to Eater.
If it is not Advance Fee Fraud, it is not debatable here. Outside of 419Eater..debate away.
We appreciate your resolve to fight against scammers and you would be a welcome addition to the forum.
