So my character has sent of the money (the prostitute I mentioned somehwere ele here).

I told him I did what he asked and he now wants the slip. I told him that if he wanted my underwear he'd have to pay for it. No, he said:

I left the brothel I work in, the walked down the street to the Rite-Aid. Since that's a all night open pharmacy that somehow has this branch of your Western Bank of the Union. So I went there and talked to this really sweet, great looking blond girl behind the counter. So after we chatted for a while I told her that I needed to send some money to someone but that she was to be absolutely quiet about it. Of course she didn't understand what I was talking about so I told her a bit. I hope you don't mind? Anyway, after a while I gave her the $100 bill that my customer gave me an hour before (it was still damp Smile

Naughty isn't it? She put it in the till and then wrote out a piece of paper.

Since I know this whole deal would have to remain secret I walked outside, looked around to make sure no one saw what I was doing, took my lighter and then burned to paper. I left no trace of it so no one will ever find out I sent you the money!

So..

Now that I held up my end off the deal, when can I expect the money?

His reply:

You should give him a HUGE slap for not holding up his end of the deal! It is people like him, who are giving Nigeria such a bad name!

Your character should be more than a little indignant having been called stupid. The Rite-Aid counter person told you that all that was needed to pick up the funds was proper ID.

Its now time to dangle cash and take the bait to another level. Remind the scammer that it took you less than a minute for you to earn that hundred dollars and the client was so pleased that he's taking you to Curaçao for five days at your overseas daily rate of $10,000 per day. Ignore his responses and send him daily blurbs about the weather, the yacht, the champagne, Viagra and coke. You should have his attention in a week after you tell him about your $25,000.00 tip for curing your client.

Tell him since he said you can no longer proceed you went back to Rite Aid to have the money you sent (the money that was there waiting but wasn't claimed by him because he didn't have the magical slip) refunded. Send him a fake receipt to prove the money was sent then refunded since you detest being called a liar.

If he thinks the receipt is real he'll come back around and will develop an increased tolerance for the stress you give him. Then have some fun. He tells you to keep everything secret and when you try to do just that by burning the receipt he unnecessarily acts like a spoiled small boy brat. After all the WU clerk told you the receipt mainly serves as a record (for the sender) of the money transfer which made you think "paper trail". The one other thing the WU clerk told you was the receipt showing money was transferred is not necessary for the recipient to have in order to pick up sent money.

As you were told, he goes to WU, tells them his name. He fills out a form to claim the money and the give it to him. Then I would add that if anyone is adding stress to life, it's him. Stress on you and now you are wondering if you would be better off going into business with that polite man from Ghana. If you don't want to go business in Ghana route you can always compare him to some of your clients. The ones that say one thing but mean the complete opposite.

By some miracle, you might have found a fragment of the slip you burned in the street. Only problem is the first two digits are missing, but all he needs to do is go to the western union outlet and try the different combinations. He can't check it on the website because you specified that the details should not be available there. It all had to be top secret, like the lad told you.
