I am in mourning. My local restaurant finally ran out of this limited-time item. I have had this every day for 5 months (because I knew it was limited item and wanted to get as much as I could). After all that, I'm not sick of it.

Stolen from here... http://www.copykatchat.com/recipe-requests/54714.htm
I don't see any beans in there, I would add some beans. And when they say "bring to a boil" I would then reduce the heat to a simmer.
Code: |
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 medium onion chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium jalapeno chopped
½ medium green peppers chopped
4 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cups frozen corn
½ cup dry white wine or ½ cup water
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
4 (14 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Topping:
1 cup non fat tortilla chips (optional)
Directions:
1 Sautee onion, garlic, jalapeno and green pepper with olive oil in a large pot until soft.
2 Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
3 After about 15 minutes, remove the chicken breasts and shred.
4 Return the shredded chicken to the pot and simmer an additional 45 minutes |

I don't believe there was any jalapeno in that soup. Green chile probably. No where near that amount of tomato sauce. I don't recall any green pepper in it (not counting chile)
We are talking about reproducing perfection.
(I suspect the soup was thickened with pureed beans)
Thanks for the thought though. If I had enough of the original, I could duplicate it. |

I'm sorry, but I just can't put Chick-Fil-A and "perfection" in the same context.
PF's recipe lacks several key ingredients, notably monosodium glutamate, metho-carbonate, Red Dye #4, di-ethyl glyceride, guar gum, soy lecithin, glucose, calcium carbonate, artificial color, artificial flavor, sodium dioxide, sulfur dioxide, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, thiamin mononitrate, high fructose corn syrup, mono- and di-glycerides, sodium and/or calcium stearoyl, lactylate, soy lecithin, ammonium sulfate, monocalcium phosphate, calcium propionate, potassium sorbate, and potassium cyanide. But definitely jalapeños. |
