Fake Bank Check Scam

Hi,
I am new here, and looking for advice on how I might waste a scammer's time, or better.

After recently posting a listing on Craig's List selling a set of barely used tires off of a car I recently bought, I responded to an interested party and received the following, which was easily spotted as a scam:

Thanks you for the response according to the description,am okay with
the price and the condition pasted on cl. I am ready to make instant
purchase.My mode of payment would be in CASHIERS CHECK and i will
arrange for a local pick up as soon as you get the check, because that
is the only inconvenient means for me and due to my work frame i can
not be able to get there and i promise everything will go smoothly.I
really wish to be there to check out the item but i don't have chance
cause am very busy person (US MARINE). Concerning the pick up, i will
arrange for it after you receive the payment and it clears... Pls get
back to me with below info so that i can proceed with the payment
immediately if you are selling to me.

Phone Number: That i can send text
And as soon as this is provided, the payment will be overnight to you
and i will let you know when its mailed out. Thanks and i hope we
handle this in good faith while waiting to hear from you. i will add
an additional $50 so that you can hold it for me till the check reach
you.

Frankly, I want to reverse-con this person to the greatest extent possible. Other than wasting his/her time by responding as an interested seller, I got nothing in the way of creative ideas and come here seeking some ideas. All input appreciated.

If he has your real life details or email drop him. Get a Gmail mail account with no connection to your real life info and bait him from there.

Wow, okay, you folks really are serious about this. Great, I'd like to waste as much of this guy's / gal's time as possible. I replied but have not heard back yet. I'll keep you posted if it develops further.

By the way, coffee is not a vitamin. It is an Essential amino acid, necessary for long term survival.
Seriously I just heard about a study the results of which show coffee drinkers live longer. It's not the coffee itself though. It's all the trips in and out of Starbucks and the standing in line. (As opposed to sitting on the couch)
