Ok, had to register. I read your guys post all the time. I work at a ford dealer in a small town, a couple of day ago the parts manager got a call for 1000 spark plugs to be shipped to Nigeria. Me and the rest of the guys figure this has to be a scam but can't figure out what it is all about. By the way he took the order, let them pay by credit card and has already shipped them. Any infor on this would be great. |

Most likely the credit card is stolen/information. There may be a charge back or cancel when the cc victim learns of the transaction.
Some times the scammer will over pay and want you to send the difference to a third party or themselves. By way of western union.
If you shipped the spark plugs already. They will probably sell them.
Depending on how you shipped. You may be able to do a recall. |

I love this post and it reminds me of a news report before Xmas concerning chewing gum. Seems the EASTERN Europeans were running a shoplifting spree on chewing gum so much so the local police needed to get out and inform retailers to remove the stock to somewhere secure. It wasn't the odd bit, it was boxes and boxes of the stuff. Seems the stuff is used instead of money over there. So it doesn't matter what the item is, there is a crime to suit what the criminal needs. |
