somebody gets a large offer of money (several millions of €)
the investors/scammers set up a meeting in italy or an other country, contracts and so (everything is just a story)
then, the scammer introduces his brother, in this particular case a diamond trader. this "brother" has a problem. he has swiss francs and wants to exchange them to euro. the victim meets this diamond trader with the money, who shows the swiss francs, which he wants to exchange.
the victim agrees and they do the exchange. in that situation, the scammer or someone else distracts the victim, they exchange the case with the swiss francs with a second identical case with worthless paper.
at home, the victim checks the money and finds paper.
not really aff, but still very nasty, as they target sportclubs, which are usually very low at funds.

This looks like a variation of what is called the Pigeon Drop in the US. It's been around for decades. You can see it in the opening scene of The Sting.

I saw on the news this morning that there are 2 text type scams happening here. Both are the "you've won money" type. When you call the number they ask for CC details immediately.
