I joined this site about 4 hours ago. Got advised to put my name down on a guyman guestbook and have already received my first email. I thought I might have to wait a few days at least.

Now I have to think about how I am going to work with Dancan from Kenya Assemblies of God Kapkoi.

How long does it usually take for a noob to get a hit. Am I just really lucky?

A few hours. That's pretty normal, depending on the guestbook. 419baiter and Muguguestbook are some good ones.

That is mental I really did not think a brand new email account could be picked up that quick, these types must trawl for new victims constantly.

I mean there are only 8 emails in the inbox 4 from gmail 3 from hereand this joker.

I will pm my mentor for some advice on this.

I am not sure. I have been thinking about playing a church character or maybe a secret society/masons type outfit so somebody who would fall for a religious angle might be nice. I think it might be easier to wait and give a couple of days to get a broad approach worked out.

Mel - don't try to run with complex scenarios before you've learned to walk, listen to your mentor, keep it simple.

Send them a simple no frills reply "I am interested, please tell me more", "What do you want me to do?"

NNN gives some good advice there. The best thing to do is learn all you can about straight baiting and build on the experience layer by layer.

Everyone finds the level they want to be at. I have been baiting for a time and have helped in supporting roles in various baits; however, my favorite is just plan straight baiting. My favorite of straight baiting has been finding a co-baiter or being part of a team (which might only be 2 or 3 baiters teaming up)

Doing a safari, etc "for me" would be torture and it is the lads we want to torture and cause pain.

I can run if I need to but I like walking. Wink

Well I think I have one.

At least I received a reply to an 'I am interested tell me more'.
I have pm'd my mentor with a few ideas on a reply and will bow to their judgement.

I really would like a trophy one day, but I can be patient, slowly slowly catchee monkey as they say.
