My First Sucessful Bait

So I'm fairly new to scam baiting,but I know enough about scammers to mess around with them (and maybe do a public service).So anyways,I don't know how to add the actual letters into this post,but the story went something like this.....

Early January to Early March:Spam...my spam folder is full of the crap,so I decided to pick a random (unlucky) scammer to mess with.His name? Tony Brown.It started off with him sending me a letter about gold dust (pretty common I've noticed)I decided to tell him I was interested in "buying" his nonexistent gold and he agreed to meet me "John Billings" in person at Accra's airport.I basically went on tips from this site and made up fake flight details (the moron believed it) I emailed him a day after the flight was supposed to land and asked why no one showed up to meet me,his excuse being that no one came because of missing flight details.I decided to do some research on google maps before my next step and found out about a little place called the Novotel Hotel in Accra.I told him the next day that I was booked into the Novotel and asked him to come and pick me up (waste gas:check waste time:check waste money:check)
He emailed me two days later saying his car broke down on the way over and that he was "extremely sorry" (more inconveniences,courtesy of me)I email him saying "i understand that these things happen,and I'll wait at the hotel until you can pick me up." The next day he emails me (pissed off i might add),saying that there was no such room or floor of that hotel (Room 24 on the second floor) and that he "has no time for jokers and is a very busy man".
I tried to hook him back saying that I was moved to another hotel the previous night (what a bunch of bullshit) and that i would pay him $700 for any expenses (more bullshit),unfortunately,he didn't buy it...so I email him back saying some "colorful" words about him,his mother,his father,his country and his pride.After that,just to inconvenience him more,I managed to sign him up for spam,gay porn spam,and then ended my last letter saying "I enjoyed wasting your time,money,and gas to watch you make a fool of yourself" So forum members,would you say that this was a successful bait?

What I Achieved:
1:pissed off and wasted a scammer's time
2:wasted his money
3:broke down his car in probably 100 degree african weather
4:Signed him up for some spam to deal with
5:Made a fool of him

Sounds good, except for the last bit. It's better to act as if you found the Boojum than to tell them you've been messing with them.

How did you sign them up for the spam and gay porn? Sounds like a great idea I just don't want to risk getting nasty popups or anything weird on my computer (my kids use this too)

As VX stated above, you are pretty well taking any chance of getting him back for round 2 when you tell him you were only a joker. If there is a way to mess up everything he requests of you then just say the heck with it, he is left scratching his butt trying to figure out where he went wrong. It may take him some time but he is likely to come back to you for more.

^You never know. I got a message from a previously baited lad, saying "even though it did not work out somehow ... with the aid of a new partner from <random country>", several months after I baited him, in the email account of my character, who he never got a dime from.

^^^It's not going to buy a sandtimer but it lets you waste more time with them. Leave your kids bewildered and they will come back with something else.

Speaking of sandtimers,how do some baiters have a bait last more than a year? Usually by the third day of baiting they start asking for Western Union Rolling Eyes

Some of the most recent timers are going to be "bad mother" and the vertically challenged person. It's a constant runaround thing.

I would think they would eventually catch on though,I mean after 5 useless trips to the WU office they would probably realize that they're idiots right? Laughing

With WU, I doubt they have moved more than an inch. They can track that online.

I have used WU before and no MTCN was needed. Names, test Q$A was all. I think MTCN is a way for WU to track money but they have picked up on this.

It is best to read what these people have done. There are so many ways it's hard to say what is best. Pick and choose what works best with your character.
