Hi, I anticipate a need to soon to write to my lad in pigeon scammerspeak.
Something like:
"This is my mark, I found him, I have taken him for 7,500 US. I can't take the remaining $22,500 because he will not budge from a meeting in London. I have no contact in London. If you want to take over this scam, I want 30%. But its ok, he will pay more if you push him. If you agree, I can give you info. If you don't, I will end your credibility with him"
I also have a question:
What are the likeliness of two lads working together in this way? Wouldn't one just stitch the other up? Can I put one in fear of the other? Any advice here? |

Worth trying this. We do not cashbait, and I assume that the victim here is actually one of your characters.
My English to lad translation of this would be
dis bi mai client, i found him, i get taken him for 7,500 dollas, ok? i cant take di remainin $22,500 bicos e go no budge for di jam for london. i get no contact for london.. u wan fo take ova dis job, i wan 30%. but its ok ,e go drop more u push am. u gree, i can gif u info. u no, i go end ur credibility wit him
There's an English to Lad translator around somewhere |

Excellent, thanks. This is not a cashbait. I am just trying to mess with the guy's head and make him want to get to London, or get a cronie there. Thanks for your advice and translation. |

You could end with "I will give him knowledges of you" |

Ok, thanks, the translation device is great too.
I am pretending to have been WU scammed for 7,500, but then dropped by the scammer before the physical drop of the rest. The new lad is running with my "where have you been" reply to his getrichquick scammail.
I have given my lad 24 hours to agree to what I say, or I will copy mails to the original contact (who I have agreed to keep out of things) and therefore get him in trouble at work (!)
If I have to do this, the text I have will be from original scammer (me) to my lad, intending to encourage him on.
Thanks all. |

Legit translation. I took a bit of artistic license with the content, but the message is the same. |

No, we don't cash bait, but since the money is destined for someone who does not exist, and there is no chance of the OP actually obtaining it, it's not really cash baiting (assuming the lad decides to pay up, which he won't).
I have demanded money from them before (as a lad) just so that they'd get their hair off and spend ages writing a forthright refusal. |

Thanks guys.
My plan is just to get my fake lad to excite my real lad into doing something. I worry without the push from the imaginary first lad, the second one will only bite with internet transactions. I really want a physical presence in London. Greedy, aint I?
Mind you, I am open to suggestions. |

In that case, I'd suggest bringing the numbers down. That's leagues above the average scam amount.
To add an answer to your question in the OP, scammers work together all the time. In fact, most - if not all - of the scammers you're playing with right now are probably in "gangs." |

Thanks for the tip
I was thinking I needed a big carrot to get a London cronie to actually turn up at a drop. |

Offer someone a 1 foot carrot and they might believe you; offer someone a 5 foot carrot and they'll laugh it off. |
