I haven't even left yet. My flight leaves here at about 7 pm EST, arriving there at 8:38, Chicago time.
Alex and I aren't together - she's on a different flight.

SOOI was too tuckered out after dinner to hit thh House of Blues so I dropped him off at his room and am headed out for the evening. I scored 4 seats in a opera box from the concierge, Pyx Lax is playing and I'm already late. Left 2 tickets at the desk under the name "Jose Cuervo". the desk clerk thought I was crazy. be there or be square1

(BTW, SOOI managed to lose a shoew between the cab and the elevator Laughing

Well, I made him home but I'm not quite sure how I managed it.... It's a colossal understatement to say that I had a very rough morning. Without question, that was the worst hangover I've ever had in my entire life. I'm sure SOOI goes through even worse ones every week, but my body just can't take it anymore. Never again. And I mean it.

I don't know how I managed to crawl to the airport this morning, especially given the change to daylight savings and losing an hour of urgently needed sleep. Ouch.

Mea culpa: in all seriousness, I really want to apologize again to Cecily and Jen for my behavior last night. I know you may find it hard to believe but that was really out of character for me and I feel very ashamed. I'm sincerely sorry. Please don't hold it against me.

But aside from that, I have to say this was a terrifically fun weekend. It's a privilege to work with such a great group, and it was great fun to party with you all again. Even if I did get carried away. Embarassed

I was so busy eating and drinking (and making a fool of myself) that I never got around to taking many pictures. I scrolled through some of them on the plane and of those I did take it looks like a lot are out of focus. I think my hands weren't as steady as they might have been, or else I just got the settings screwed up..... Fortunately I was still relatively under control on Friday night when Jen arrived, and that picture came out quite spectacularly well if I do say so myself. So for everyone's enjoyment once again, here it is:

I have to say that for a 'newbie' mod, Jen sure knows how to make a memorable entrance to a party. Very Happy

I've got to get some sleep, I'm a wreck. I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone tomorrow when you all get home too. I hope you will all post pictures, assuming you had steadier hands than me.

First thing in the morning I'll pull on my jackboots and go see how many threads I can lock. Wink

/\/\/\ I can certainly understand the hangover. I forgot about the time change (not that it would have mattered much had I remembered) ended up checking out of the hotel at 5:00pm, just a few hours past the customary 11:00am checkout. Since my flight was at 3:10pm, I now have the pleasure of flying standby. Embarassed

Fortunately, I was able to capture some of the premier moments of the evening. I'll upload the rest when I get back home - or not if certain individuals would like to send a WU to facilitate the accidental deleting of said photos (you know who you are!). Twisted Evil

And for a brief glimpse of some of the serious work done this weekend, for those foolish, unfortunate, or wise enough to miss the meet...

Rover covered his face in every single pic I took. Even the one I thought I was able to sneak in, he blocked it. He must be in the witness protection program. Laughing

Thank god we lost an hour today owww my head. If anyone needs me, I'll be hunched over the toilet with an ice pack on the back of my head.

@Perry: Don't apologize. At least not to me. If we had spent more time following your um *suggestions* and less time drinking those girly drinks Cecily kept ordering, I'd probably have enough brain cells left to make it to work tomorrow. Wink

You all deserve an explanation, the girl I surprise in the lobby on Sunday was my old friend Diana who I haven't seen in a couple of years, she happened to be in town for the meat processors convention. The lesbian thing is just an act we did in college, I don't even remember how it got started but it sure got you going didn't it!
