I am slowly working one that claims to be from Athens, Greece. I am suspect on the location here, but the pictures look bogus. Any input would be appreciated on this.

If it is a picture of him in a riot or a soup kitchen he may be legit.

I always take it as read that scammers are never in the location they claim to be or are ever who they claim to be.
If they did scam as themselves then all the better ..
You would have to attempt to trace their I.P

One good way to do this is to set up a website on some anonymous/free hosting where you have access to web server logs.
Then ask the lad to click on the link to the website for some reason.

In cases like these I like to play along with the lad's supposed location and ask all kinds of excited questions. I never present them as critical or suspicious, just keep going with it and encouraging him to tell me more. I figure even if he's just copy-pasting, it takes him a little bit of time and effort to do so.

Anyway if you want to get a better idea of their location, maybe good to try and get them off the PM system and correspond with you some other way. Maybe tell them you're having trouble logging into 4ppl - the site is really slow, doesn't always load, etc. Or keep dropping chats then apologise "this doesn't happen with other sites".

^I am trying to feel this one out in PM to be somewhat sure, then try to pull it out to mail. I just got a hit from that one later yesterday, and I've got nothing back yet.
