This is what I have to put up with when trying to scan stuff from the drop box for baiters.

Morley thinks this is his new sleeping place.

^Tee likes to "play" with the printer whenever we try to use it. He'll tear huge holes into the sheets we try to print. Sometimes, he likes to curl up and sleep next to it. Once, he picked up one of his favorite toys and dropped it front of the printer and waited patiently, expecting the printer to pick it up.

We always joke that the printer is his best friend.

Question for crazy cat lady and other slaves. Very Happy

What do you feed yours? Dry kibble? Wet from tins or pouches? Main or supermarket brands? Or are they on a vet diet, such as Hills? Has anyone tried them on a raw food diet (commonly known as the, ahem, BARF diet)?

Having recently become very aware of my own food and how it can effect me, I can't help thinking that feeding Miss Martha pouches and kibble is akin to chowing down a big mac and fries every day.

What are your experiences?

Morley and Sassy have access to dry kibble all day long and a big pan of water, so they can graze at will.

I feed them a moist cat food around 4 pm -- and they know when it is 4 pm and they come running. At that time I only give them about 2 tsps each and about 7 pm give them the remainder of the tin. If I give Morley more than 2 tsps at the 4 pm feeding he "barfs" it up.

We eat lots of seafood and occasionally I give them a little cooked fish, shrimp, or crab meat.....and of course when I open a can of tuna they come running and I give them about 1 tsp. They also like small treats of cooked chicken when we have it.

Occasionally I will give them moist from pouches. I try to vary the different dry kibbles and moist foods so they are not always getting the same thing. I think they appreciate the changes in variety. I know I would.

Sassy loves a bit (1 tsp) of ice cream sometimes and very small bits of cookies and cheese.

Bear in mind these were stray cats originally and they eat quite high on the hog nowadays.

Tee's on a dry food diet. Half cup in the morning, half a cup in the evening.

And we also give him bits of whatever poultry or seafood we're eating. He's very spoiled.

Dry kibble, twice a day. Each has her own dry food bowl. One even has her own water dish as she is the "queen-bee" and would never consider sharing a water dish with other cats and certainly not with the dog. The kitties line up in front of their own dish and wait for the scoop to deposit the bits. Occasionally they receive a spoonful of wet food. They all eat a main brand and on rare occasions they get bits of ham or the liquid from tinned tuna.

I feed mine Natural human grade dry and a popular wet food. Avoid corn anything! Not only cant they digest corn but the cheap dry food can increase the rate of urinary tract infections.Dry food tends to be higher calories than wet. Not posting the name of food in case the Mods would frown on that. Smile

Pizza Cat! Morley picks strange places to sleep. He is normally not allowed on the table but I guess he thought it would be ok on an empty pizza box!

Now, Martha would have had the foil off the plate and stuck her nose in the bowl first. That Morley's a very tidy and respectful cat. Not to mention cute... Very Happy

@Nanny The markings on the 2 cats are quite similar from what I can see. He/She is adorable.

Morley is a very nice cat -- until he decides to be a bit mischievous.

Both he and Sassy (Lassy) like to bring live lizards in the house and then seem to "lose" them. I am just glad they don't bring in snakes! When they see a snake outside they just sit there together staring at the snake, then it is time for me to go chop/chop the snake. When the show it over (snake is dead) they both get up and go about whatever they were doing before they found the snake.

@ Morgain he's a he (neutered )

@ Cougar his fur has mostly grown back in, the fall and the operation after don't seem to have stopped him getting into trouble. he lost one set of eye whiskers being under a hot car exhaust, also got engine oil all over his back- vet said to use butter to help remove that, you apply the butter or spread then blot with kitchen roll, it worked

Aww, bless him. Thank goodness it was only his whiskers! Obviously an adventurous little soul.

Martha loves being outside. She'll be all brave and inquisitive, until a bird startles her. Or someone walks past. Or a neighbour's dog starts yapping. Or the wind blows (seriously she cannot stand windy days - guess it ruffles her fur the wrong way). Then she's back inside for a pep talk until she's ready to go out again. Laughing

As I mentioned earlier, my cats like to bring in live lizards from outside.

This morning I was sitting by the back door where the cat door is. I heard something at the cat door, when I looked, it was one of those lizards trying to escape via the cat door. I tried to get a pic, but he was too quick for me as he scampered out the cat door.
