^^^ Yes, 2009 was a most excellent year for a valentine's thread. Lots of good woo'ing with many Eater members - male and female - and very little 'anti-valentine's' sentiment.

Though I have been incredibly blessed and had some very wonderful woo's by Eater men. I am truly a lucky girl in the month of February.

Oh Irish, I thought our little talk did some good. I would like you to think more positively!

I know there has to be some redeeming quality about you that some eater girl will find attractive.

I am going to go through the memberlist and see if there is anyone I have not offended recently that I could woo.

I refuse to take part in this farce. We're promised tons and tons of weird rewards by the Eater ladies in exchange for humiliating us in front of them, and then come VD they all 'spontaneously' decide to go shopping and 'happen to find' tickets for a Chippendales show.

We might need to find another boat though. I've just called the owner of last year's boat. He said the restraining order is still in effect and hung up. Does anybody remember what he's talking about? My memories are still a bit blurry.

I don't understand all the bitterness and the 'let's go fishing instead' by some of the guys. The Valentine's Day thread isn't just for the males to woo the females; it goes in reverse too. There are many females who do woo'ing of the males too. I have never participated in shopping or chippendale shows and I think all the women that have been woo'd have picked a sweetheart. It all sounds a bit like sour grapes to me.

Maybe you need to find the right person to woo. There are plenty of new baiters on Eater this year. Find one and then put some effort into your woo'ing. Half-hearted woo's won't get the job done. Wink

Meh. Been there, done that. As you'll probably remember, it only took me one attempt to get four ladies (including you) to spontaneously approve of me. That's about par for me in RL and so I just don't see the point.

A fishing trip, on the other hand, is a beautiful tradition well worth honouring! The male bonding, the binge drinking, Mr. SK's traditional chum sandwiches, vomiting over board onto smaller vessels, the drunken dynamite fishing, ... what's not to love about it?
