Don't give up on the bank transfer just yet. Pretend you'll go to WU, then not be available for a few days, then write back suggesting it all went pear shaped!

Don't forget the good ol fashioned reasons why you can't do WU! You're involved in a car crash while on the way there, you were robbed on the way there. I went to the WU like you suggested, but they said I had to get you to fill out all these anti terrorist forms...
