My email listed as scam at some fake anti scam site

Hello all,

Not knowing what to do and not able to report this i thought to ask help here about the next.

I found out that my original email address [email protected] has been listed as scam on a (anti scam) site called Blacklooker.com.

This email i have many years now and never use it for untrusted sources, i use 10 minute email for that mostly.

This means there is no way my email is being abused so listing it as scam is very unreal.

There is also no proof or info about why my email is listed there in the first place.

Does anybody know this site Blacklooker? Is it an serious anti scam site or is it more like a scam site?

I have reported this to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) but i guess they don’t deal with these things Razz

Anyway i cannot find out the host of that site so where can i report this?

Hi, are you sure that you haven't got a virus ? My email took to spamming my address book with offers of viagra once. I didn't even know about it until a friend asked me what I was doing in my spare time ! If other addresses are having unsolicited mail from your address then maybe someone has reported it ?

I think you would have to email the contact the site to have it taken off.

I don't know anything about this site, but I found both of my catcher accounts on a site, where a baiter showed his baits and posted all of the email addresses, which did not belong to him as scammer.

the scammer sent his mail to a group of receivers cc instead of bcc, so every receiver ended up as scammer. annoying thing.

I think, there are some legal possibilities, I don't know, how that works.

First thing i did is contacting the site but never got reply.

What i do know is that the creator of the site is friends with a person that i had a fight with before.

It should be that because i never heard any of my friends about hem receiving spam from my email.

@piecrust: There's no need to contact the hoster. The site is legitimate and the admin is active on anti fraud sites. I'll send him a note to inquire about the listing.

The site maybe legit but posting my email address as scam without proof cannot be legit.

That email i use for communicating with Banks, insurance, government, work related stuff and etc. Its a shame that it is listed as scam now and on top of google search results.

This can harm me in some way.

Going to the police would be waste of time, there should be some organisation to report this to.

Unfortunately, it is not illegal. Under normal circumstances, the only thing to do would be to abandon the email address and begin a new one. Then email your contacts, inform them that the last address was compromised and that this is your new, main one.
It's not an unusual thing to have to do - spammers and scammers are always getting hold of legitimate addresses and getting them black-listed. The organisations which you are worried about - "banks, government, insurance agencies" - are aware of that fact, so it shouldn't harm your reputation in any way

True, replacing your email address will be quick and sure, arguimg the toss with site admins and then mopping the splash and fallout off Google wil be very lengthy. I choose option 1.

When are you going to prevent your asssociate scam fighters continuing your abuse from Brazil and Germany on your behalf? When are you going to stop using real/personal photos of Scambusters that you stole from Facebook? When are you going to ask your associates to remove personal details, including location, of scambusters from Blogs? When are you going to stop your internet vendetta and incitement of others against people who do nothing?
When are you going to admit your actions are illegal according to UK,Dutch, and EU law?
Blacklooker is a social networking site based from USA and not an antiscam site.
When you chose that road you can only blame yourself for the aftermath.

Blacklooker appears to be a dating/social networking site. But an interesting fact: I googled some of the email addresses on that list and it appears that some of the email addresses were in fact actually scammers. But more specifically, romance scammers. I wonder how your email got wound up in all of this.

It is a possibility that your email was spoofed and is only used for sending scripted email messages. Unfortunatley your still indexed by Google.
