Okay, just got the base tracks from Brainy. Man this guy can take something I write and flesh it out like no one's business. Why are we not rich yet? Oh yea, releasing music for free....

Brainiac, we need to rethink our business strategy.

Anyway, the tracks are _AMAZING_, and I'll be laying down the solos (yes, plural) and vocals when I get back from school today. Which will be in like 3.5 hours. Then comes the mixing, because I know I suck at vocals, but I wanted to give it a shot. And the solos. I record them at least 35362376 times before I'm satisfied. So the song will be released sometime before year 2050. Very Happy

Well, I laid down some guitar tracks, thickened the rythm a bit with a dual rythm guitar, and laid down a megadeth style solo. I'm sucking on the vocals though.

I'll keep trying. I even installed an entire software suite over my old Linux install for it, and while I got a voice FX chain sounding nice, the lag on my machine was too horrible Sad

On top of that, the track that has Brainy talking the words along with it actually sounds pretty good. That mellow talking makes a great contrast. Too bad I sound like mickey mouse in comparison. Razz

Anywho, if anyone wants a demo track, let me know.

Edit: I've decided that I can't do the vocals. I just don't have the voice for it, and trying to rough it up a tad only led to a sore throat. I stopped when i hacked up some blood. Sorry brainy, you're gonna have to do the vocals. My buddy down the road said he would do them, but he's been about as reliable as a Ford Taurus with no transmission.

I know I'm probably supposed to just keep appending to my previous messages, instead of 3 posts in row, but since a couple days are passing between posts...

Anywho, we're running out of lyrics, folks. We're doing BookReader's rap stuff, then we're out of baiter lyrics for the Eater album.

Scansion changes slightly in the 3rd verse, but I think it still works, yes/no?

Out of curiosity, do you read Edgar Allen Poe alot?

And would you mind if we changed "lion" to "cougar"? You know, fits the author.

Other than that, yes, quite nice. You win 10 smarties. The chorus's last line doesn't rhyme too well, but trust me, we can fix that. Musically, I'm thinking Pantera? Maybe some Naglfar...

Tell ya what, kitty, we'll let you decide what genre of music you want this song to be. I figure you must have had some style in your head while writing these out!

Sorry about guilting you into it, but I do believe you said you had a couple others in the works as well?

Also, if this post feels... odd... it's 6:23 AM, and I have spent the last 12 hours doing schoolwork and studying for tomorrow's history test. Razz

Seriously, I'll leave the musical stylings to you guys - you know what you're talking about. (Pantera? Naglfar? *heads to Google*)

Have read some Poe in the past, but not The Raven, although I did think of that after I'd typed the first 'evermore'.

Happy for it to be changed, whatever you need for it to fit. Yes, others are in the pipeline, works in progress - trying to get 'it could be you' finished but typically 'battlezone' keeps hogging the muse... Mad

If so, we'll just use that music. I wrote it a long time ago, never got around to finishing the lyrics.

I hope you Googled Pantera and Naglfar, they play a huge influence on my music... my metal music at least.

Battlezone? The old Atari arcade game? Understandable for it to be hogging attention, that game was awesome!

Those "Lion's Den" lyrics, pretty sure Crotchy and I can work with those.

We were just talking about how we should take care of Bookreader's rap lyrics,
and take care of all the submissions backlog here at Eater.

I sent him "Love Lies Bleeding" in .mp3 format as an e-mail attach. He added
chugging guitar riffage and a solo in the middle. To which I re-did the vocal part.

The resulting "work-in-progress", still a rough draft, I posted at mediafire

Now I realize that we can send individual parts using the file-sharing site.
I'm still learning how to be a long distance musician. We're on opposite
