I work at Google, and your input is very valuable to us. Therefore we have decided to opt for the sleek, digital "Black backgrounds with black font, and java scripts that block highlighting."
Nah, just kidding. I don't work at Google. But if I did I would totally do something like that, just to mess with people....
I used to use Thunderbird or some other e-mail clients (when I felt like it) for my gmail accounts. Google has no control over what those look like, at least. |

^^Very good point about Thunderbird. Very clean and easy to use interface. Just put all your gmail boxes on TB and you don't have to worry about what stupid new look gmail will come out with. Plus you have all your boxes together.
Edit mention to add TB is a good alternative for those that donnot know what an iPhone is  |

I think they've changed the default behavior for the "send mail as" option. If my lad replies to email from my secondary address, in my reply I now have to manually switch to the "send as" address. If I forget, it shows as coming from the parent Gmail account. Since the changer I've sent probably a dozen replies with the wrong address and had to backpedal on each one. |
