Hey there,
recently, I have been getting more romantic letters than I'm willing to take (about 3 per day).
I'm female, as is obvious in my e-mail address. I'm a sexworker and my e-mail contains the word ESCORT (which makes this so much more stupid). I'm not on any dating sites, but obviously listed on many provider sites.
I use autoresponders every now and then which ALWAYS leads to a second (autoresponded) love letter. I think I deserve more attention than that Wink

Is there any way for me to find out where they get my address from (I cannot possibly change it)?
Do you have any good filter suggestions to keep them out of sight at least?
Is anybody interested in addresses?
I don't get the good ones, though.
I really don't want this anymore, it's not funny, it makes me sad.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Olgalawine and welcome to Eater!

From having read other posts asking a similar question I think once your email address is out there in the internetsphere it's pretty damn difficult to stop it being used, abused and passed around for all and sundry. I'm not too sure the best way to filter as I don't know which provider you use but if there's a country of origin rule I would imagine blocking Ghana and Nigeria would go some way to clearing your inbox.

I just ran a couple through ipTRACKER and got Argentina, USA, and Japan. Oh dear. Thanks anyway.
I wish Thunderbird had a block-false-grammar filter.

Try posting your question in Scambaiting help hints and tips and you might get more help that part of the site gets a lot more traffic.
