when I offered $1000. . . Well, the forms will follow this post.

For about a month I've been going back and forth with a Western Union scammer. The lad insisted I use Western Union to transfer the funds and the first four scripted e-mails were very official looking on Western Union letterhead. After weeks of me asking stupid questions, I finally agreed to use moneygram. After a few e-mails demanding Western Union, the lad agreed to moneygram.

This is when I sprang the security forms on him. He said "no" that his boss would not fill the forms out. So, I sent this back:

Quote:
Brother,

Again, I am sorry that we cannot comply with your directive. We must have the security forms completed and we are only able to use Money Gram.

I asked one of my church members who is a business man if he could think of a solution. He volunteered to donate $1000 to send at the fee instead of the $250 you requested. He said that our church would be getting $250,000 so that his donation could help us and compensate your boss for the trouble of filling out the security forms. But, for us to sent the $1000 to you, you must fill the forms out and return them to us so that we can take them to the moneygram people.

If you cannot do this, I understand and I will pray that you find a good home for our $250,000. Instead of sending $1000 to you, I can keep it for the church and our member said he would still let us keep it. So, you have helped our church either way.

I hope you can fill out the security form because we need the money. But, either way I will pray for you.

God bless you brother. And thank you.

Yours,

Pastor Klingenhoffer

And, the forms came back today:

Brother in Christ,

We are sorry that this has happened. When we gave the money gram office our $1000 the man assured us that the information would be available on the site immediately. I will go today and find out what the problem is. But first, are you sure you entered the right number? I noticed that is was rather long and confusing.

I will go today and get the information corrected if there is anything wrong on our end.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Klingenhoffer

Brother in Christ,

I just returned from the money gram office. They told me that they posted everything correctly. The problem is that the the person whose picture was on the secured forms was not the person to access the account. When this happens, the transaction fails.

I told him that you had used your bosses picture for the forms and that you were accessing the account. But, rules are rules and our law here in America requires the person whose picture is on the forms to be the one to access the account.

I asked if there is anything else I can do to get the information to you. He did say that if you took a picture of yourself with a sign that has the confirmation number on it and today's date I could give that to him and he would release the information we need to get you your $1000 and to get my church our $250,000.

I had another idea. Could you just send me the $250,000 and deduct the $1000 fee? This way you could send me $249,000 and keep $1000. But, if you send me the picture and the number I will take it to the office as soon as I receive it and get the information to you so you can get the $1000. Either way is ok with me.

Sorry for the mix up.

Yours in Christ's name,

Pastor Klingenhoffer

I received a picture of some emo kid in a skinny suit holding a photo shopped sign with the security number and the day's date on it.

I have a feeling the money gram office will reject it as being a forgery.
