EDIT: oh and if not done yet try and email the heritagec.com. addy and post the reply with headers over in fake banks so it can get shut down.

I just went to the Heritage Bank site and it's loaded with warnings about scammers.

I emailed, using the addy the scammer provided so will see if I get a reply.

I just hope there's no more insults directed at me. My own bank never calls me an "asswipe"!

^^^ Actually that tactic is in their Banking Manual to separate the wheat from the chafe of customers. So if you cannot handle the tactic then they don't want you was a customer as they like to slap their customers about the head and shoulders frequently and often! Laughing

The lads are renowned for being lazy, but this carelessless is unprecedented.

I also love it when lads insult and/or threaten people, then later apologise and still want to carry on the "transaction". Absolutely no clue how to even pretend to be professional.

I fell off my chair laughing, (FOCL). Its not that often when you get a real classic like that.
The best I can offer is: I asked my lad if he was trying to trick me out of money. His reply is copy pasted in my siggy line, containing the word trick.
The bait is still active.

Your subject line is about the best example of lad carelessness I have seen.

I am fairly certain that this was forwarded to quite a few potential victims before he caught the mistake.

I have gotten the impression that when they are sending out scripts they are more often then not on automatic pilot.

I just got a reply from Heritage. It's actually Heritage Credit Union and I was sent a loan application form.

There is no site with heritagec.com. It's actually heritagecu.ca so there's nothing to get shut down.

The loan application is in .pdf form with the name and Canadian address of the credit union.

I could send them an email telling them about this, but I"m not sure what they can do, plus I'm afraid they might tell me to fuck off. Crying or Very sad

I did write to Mr. Edwards, telling him I was deeply offended at the language in his subject line, but would still like to business with him as I sorely need some money. He has not replied.

Sorry not trying to be rude but I wouldn’t have done this. If there is a chance he is using the same script with the same subject line the last thing we want to do is bring it to his attention.

Like bravo said, it is an email-only domain being used by the scammers. If you could/would bait [email protected] and get a scam reply, it can be posted in the FB forum and then killed by the site killers (or you if you would like to try!). Very Happy

Very possible but I think we all agree we do not want to educate a lad and telling him about his screw up is just that. It may happen regardless or on the other hand he may send his next bomb out with that subject line and real victims would just ignore it. Sorry not trying to be argumentative but thought it was worth pointing out.

So if you have an email from the heritagec.com addy you can post it in fake banks as a "email only" the site killers need the headers for evidence from that email address to kill it.

ETA: I just batted it out on the calculator. He took the loan amount, added 2.5% of it, and divided by 84. That's actually about a 5% interest rate compounded.
