3 days. 3 miserable days. No power, no A/C, so much humidity....

Yea, there's a few knocked down trees, some heavy puddle action.

Be here, east NC, the worse part was the power loss. And what's worse? The neighbor hoods surrounding our had power. The electric company literally forgot our neighborhood until we started harassing them. "We were not aware your neighborhood was out of power" my left foot!

Anyway, Made it through safely. Anyone out there feel the pain of this heat and no A/C????

Yesterday I had my AC running and when I turned on my microwave the circuit breaker tripped. No AC, no internet, frozen burrito. It took me almost 90 seconds to get everything up and running again. Brutal. Razz

Don't worry about it Crotchy, we're just glad you came through it ok. Besides, it's about personal perspective. A stubbed toe isn't as painful as a broken leg, but a good moan and some sympathy still helps!

I cannot stand A/C! Going on 15 years now without it. It is not by choice, my body just cannot stand it. Those numerous accidents on the job have ended that for me.

And 2 of the 3 I had to endure the not-so-gentle noise of a portable generator -- and only until 10 pm because where I lived they had RULES, that generators had to be cut off at 10 pm -- and we are in the Deep South where it was hot and humid after Katrina.
