You have got a wonderful approach, talking about wasting a scammer's time ... that is the greatest thing to do. Scammers are criminals, however, and therefore it is important to make sure that you are doing this with absolute safety; and as somebody who is under the legal age of adulthood, it will be a good idea to discuss this with your parents also. If you understand scams and scammers and scambaiting well (and, if you read around here, you have the opportunity to increase in knowledge), you should be able to talk clearly about it to others.
Keep legal, keep safe, and keep on having a good heart for those that fall victims of scams.  |

Hello everyone
I actually got interested in scambaiting through an article on the Cracked comedy website. After finishing that article, i decided to search for more baits people did, and found The Road to Nowhere on this site. it inspired me to become a baiter of my own, and see just how much i can make criminals suffer. even better, within a week of deciding to try my hand at baiting, i got a good letter! now to wait for his next response  |

Don't worry any idiot can bait I do it seriously the most important thing is to bait safe other than that there is nothing you can do to screw it up (ok well besides not following the rules of the forum). Hello everyone. I have spent the last week learning from and enjoying this site. You folks are helping many people and I would like to join. I have followed the advice in your tips section and have five lads overnight. One who says I am going to be murdered! I will sign up for a mentor and take it very slowly until I get one. Hey everyone, I'm new here. I heard of the word 'scambaiting' and just HAD to Google it...I'm fascinated, really. It happens that I haven't gotten any 419 scam type emails for a while, mostly emails for cheap Cialis, replica watches and 'hot chicks in my area' ....

Hello all, new here and ready to kill some time! I didn't even know scams were prevalent (as they all go into my junk mail) until I started posting heavily on craiglist, and I'd receive 2-3 messages from scammers about bank-certified checks for every listing. Very annoying to try and sell a refrigerator or king sized mattress when all you get are scammers:(
I've read plenty from this site, set up an alternate gmail, and got myself a mentor. Wish me luck! |

love love love your website. soooo much...I've just found yas....been reading for the past week..I would love to try my hand at a little baiting for relaxation and stress relief.
Thing is, i dont know a lot about computers, and your mentoring program appears full (or maybe you wait till you figure out a little about your newbs? fair'nuff if so). So I'm not sure how to set up a baiting email address that's safe, eg with an untraceable IP. If anyone could help out I'd be very grateful.

ps: I mean to say; I have no problem opening a yahoo or a hotmail, etc etc. are they traceable? |

The mentoring program has some vacancies, but you need to have made at least one post to join up (so you should be eligible now).
Yahoo and hotmail addys are IP tracable (how much of a problem that is depeds on how close they get to your real location), but Gmail addresses are not. |

I used to visit this site years ago or, if my ageing memory doesn't serve me well, at least I used to enjoy reading Shivermetimbers' latest escapades if it wasn't quite the same site it is today.
Anyway, I was reminded of it yesterday when I found some scamming git had left me a nice email. I hadn't realised Trinidad and Tobago had any oil.

I use Fastmail and Safe-mail. I know Safe-mail lets the IP address through, but I use Tor, so the IP address it sees wanders around the globe. |
