You may want to change your username - it's not a good idea for your baiter name and your Eater name to have any resemblance. Otherwise a lad can google your name and blow your cover.

Noobie here.

Found this site from a eater replying to a thread on Reddit from a Nigerian answering questions about scammers he knew. I messed with a few scammers back in the late 90s AOL days as a teenager but nothing compared to the brilliance I've read about so far here. Learning the ropes from all the great resources here right now, hope to start safely baiting soon.

Dr Mike Hunt. You don't have to change Eater user name. It is easier to just change your baiter name in the email addresses you use. But the point that vonpaso xlura has is still valid though. Many lads are prone to use Google and if they do they will find you here. That is no catastrophe as you are still incognito and not even we know your identity. But it will in most cases effectively end your bait which can be really annoying if you have a promising lad.

I would like to get a mentor so that I could be very effective. I read a bunch of faqs, the newbie forum, the rules. I feel I am ready to get started. Hi everyone! I'm new here. Found the site after my mom got the Bank of America ATM scam e-mail and I went googling around to show her it's fake. Since then, I've taken your advice for scambaiting and set up a fake gmail to reply. I'm a little bitter about the idea he could have taken her money (I've also set up filters for her e-mail to hopefully avoid this in the future).

Anyway, I just got my first reply, so yay! Looking forward to all the resources!

Hello everybody. I just wanted to let you know that I've got here through the Reddit AMA too. The reason I'm registering today is that it took me a few days to read through all the informations on the main site... Which (as you may know) takes quite some time.

I'm from europe, so my english really isn't the best... But I still hope that I can bait a lad or two. Most of them aren't that good either. I like to believe that my imperfections make me more believable for the roles I want to play.
